  A McIntosh development, (McIntosh also developed in the Chicagoland area Turnberry in Lakewood and Inverness in Barrington), Prestwick Country Club began in 1957. The course is a Dick Nugent design, and on a 5 star rating, is rated by many players as a 5 star course. This par 72 course is highly rated for it's lovely, well maintained course. The full country club offers dining, swimming, tennis, pro shop, and a practice facility. There are approximately 250 golf members, 150 social members, assorted juniors and house members.
