The Royal Fox Golf Club is located 1 3/4 miles north of North Avenue (Route 64) just east of Dunham Road
on Royal Fox Drive. It is a 300-acre community of luxury homes surrounding a private 18-hole golf course
developed by The Robin Hill Development Company. Home sites range from 1/3 to 1 and 1/4 acres.
The golf course was designed to evolve around the existing natural environment. The challenging 6816-
yard, par 71 golf courses have been designed for golfers of all levels. Trees and other natural amenities
have been highlighted by the addition of landscaping and lakes, including an orchard for our fruit-loving
golfers, caddies, and gardens.
The clubhouse was patterned after Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson and features windows that
capitalize on the spectacular view of the golf course. It is a casual, yet elegant atmosphere to relax and
entertain. The interior includes formal and casual dining rooms, a saloon, spacious locker rooms, a fitness
center with an indoor lap pool, and a pro shop. The outdoor amenities include a competition-sized outdoor
pool and cabana.
The Robin Hill Development Company was in charge of the overall development of the community. Dick
Nugent And Associates of Arlington Heights, Illinois designed the golf course. Salvatore Balsamo, also of
The Balsamo/Olson Group, created the architectural design of the clubhouse.
Our membership policy is simple and innovative. Simple in that membership is open to all who qualify
regardless of whether or not they are homeowners in The Royal Fox. We are innovative by being the first
club in Northern Illinois to offer Regular Golf Membership with all rights to women.
Ownership of property in The Royal Fox Subdivision does not automatically guarantee membership in the
Golf Club. The Royal Fox Golf Club is a private club unrelated to the real estate development.
